| More than 16 million Americans suffer from rosacea, a prevalent, chronic and incurable condition. While very common, most rosacea sufferers aren’t diagnosed until later in life. Learning about this condition and how to recognize it properly is vital to successful esthetics treatments. Symptoms, medical treatments and nutritional values will be discussed. Attendees will learn the differences between female and male rosacea clients, types of rosacea and Fitzpatrick tones affected by rosacea. Skin care professionals must be knowledgeable and extensively trained to treat rosacea clientele successfully. Various methods of treatments including massage techniques, ingredients, chemical peels and IPL treatments for rosacea will be reviewed. Benefits, contraindications and post-treatment care will be highlighted. A demo of chemical peel combined with LED and Sonophoresis will be presented, ending with Q&A. |
